Sadly we can't fix problems such as 'leaky defensive tendencies' or 'lack of club funding' (actually we're working in the latter!).
Juliano Gomes (pictured)brought a samba beat to Leading Drove last night after making his competitive Yaxley bow in the UCL cup.
The Brazilian showed plenty of neat touches and impressive close skills in a twenty minute cameo at the end of what proved a decent cup tie with Rothwell.
The Cuckoos were lucky to still be in with a chance of winning the match after going a goal down and seeing a further shot rattle off their post.
Parity was restored when skipper Ricky Hailstone rose to head home just after the half hour.
Yaxley were playing some pretty football and keeping the ball on the deck, something which earned them praise last season but is earning them results during this campaign.
The first half finished with the Cuckoos imposing their style of play over the visitors but not being able to make the breakthrough. But patience was to prove their virtue. The introduction of Ondre Odain brought a spark and his strength, power and pace was causing chaos in the Rothwell defence.
Sam Makansi was on hand to take advantage of this darting thought before lifting the ball over the advancing keeper and slotting home a composed finish from 15 yards. It was nothing more than the second half performance deserved and although you always felt a third goal could be needed to secure the win, Yaxley actually defended pretty comfortably.
